(3.4)Ninja Dual Zone Reviews
Hello! I’m looking to buy a new air fryer for a family of four.
Budget: £250 or thereabouts.
Capacity: 3-4 portions.
Main goals: Replacing oven. Roasting/cooking veggies, small bites for children.
Style preference: One with glass basket/containers. Ease of cleaning.
I’m looking at the Ninja Crispi Pro, as it seems to have the most space to cook for four. Unsure whether to also consider the Crispi Dual Zone - bigger machine, but less space to cook? Can different things be cooked in the same basket (say, tofu and veg, chicken and chips) and be successful?
Also, are there any other glass-based options anyone would suggest?
I also could’ve sworn I’ve seen a video of someone separating the Crispi basket in two using the little dish and cooking in two levels. Is that possible, in anyone’s experience?
Thank you in advance!
I have used the ninja dual basket one before and the extra capacity was great when i was cooking for a family. After i moved out and started living my own, i got a CostWay glass air fryer and its honestly perfect size for me. I work out too so i'll usually throw some salmon and asparagus in it after the gym. It is quick, easy and makes it really easy to get a healthy meal on the table.
Ninja dual basket. Had it for maybe 4 years now and it gets used several times a day. Pretty much still as good as new, the left side cooks ever so slightly slower (probably because it’s been used more), though it’s still only like a minute off the right hand side
Ninja DZ550 Foodi 10 Quart 6-in-1 DualZone Smart XL Air Fryer
Ninja crispy pro. Just upgraded from the dual basket XL since we are moving our kitchen towards glass/stainless steel
We have one. It’s a Ninja and it’s massive. Probably wouldn’t have gotten the dual basket if we had it to do over again. It’s just a rare occasion that both baskets get used at once. The air fryer itself is awesome and gets lots of use.
That's solid advice. Dedicated air fryers are usually simpler to clean and often more efficient for everyday cooking. I also think choosing the right basket size matters more than chasing extra features. A dual basket is worth considering if you regularly cook two different foods at the same time, but a good single-basket model is plenty for many households.
I don’t care to use liners. To each their own. Congrats on the Costco air fryer though.
There’s never a need to spend more than $50 on an air fryer, unless you get the dual basket version for $100.
100%. It will become your most useful appliance.
The Ninja I have is dual basket and multiple function. So does a lot of different things. I almost never bother with my actual oven anymore.
My girlfriend has this one and she loves it. I have the side by side dual basket ninja and it's awesome. I recommend.
That is a good one and I still have it , but I bought a Ninja dual zone because the basket is ceramic coated and so much easier to clean. Nothing sticks to it.
My husband and I have a Ninja dual basket and a Black & Decker 8 qt single basket (it's just the two of us). We rarely use the Ninja because each basket is so small...actually, in having typed that, I'm not sure why we still have the thing! Our single basket gets used daily and permanently lives on our kitchen counter. We can do a whole 4 lb chicken plus chopped veggies in there. If you have the storage space, I would buy two single baskets over a dual model, but for now, I'd just buy one single basket so you can make sure you like it.
I'm in Europe and I have a Philips 5000 dual basket that can also cook with steam (great for veggies) or a combination of the two and I'm very happy with it. A friend has a dual basket ninja where both baskets can combine in a big one and she also recommends it.
Bought a Ninja dual basket last month and haven't used my large SMEG oven since. Must have saved lots of electricity. The sync function is perfect.
I was a Philips air fryer user for many years but each replacement eventually died. Decided to try the ninja dual basket, the AF400EU and it's great! Highly recommend.
Ninja :) the model i use is the ninja af400 dual basket one
I have the grill, basket, dual basket and the ninja flip. I use the basket the most. I want to buy the ninja crispi. I also have their blenders (portable and regular) and the ninja slushi. I love their products!
Mine are for the ninja dualzone, so they're shaped for that specific brand. I reocommend putting in the brand of your airfryer, sometimes that helps.
I put my ninja dual zone trays and baskets into the dishwasher for 3 years now.
Thank you for the helpful information. This really helps me a lot. I was planning to buy the Ninja Foodi MAX Dual Zone Air Fryer 9.5 liters, but now I’m considering the COSORI 10-in-1 Oil-Free Air Fryer, 8.5 liters, which also has two drawers.
My Power XL was terrible with sticking from basically start to finish. I've had a Ninja Foodie XL Air Fryer Dual Basket and some people don't wash it after every use but it never sticks and is very easy to remove just with some hot soapy water.
I don't have that ninja but the dual basket one. The fan is similar to a range hood fan sound, a smooth fan sound but a bit loud. No rattling or metal rubbing sounds. Sounds like something is wrong with it to me.
I just bought one, mainly because of the wide basket. I also have a a Ninja dual basket XL. I like that the Typher goes up to 450° in air fryer mode and how quickly the unit heats up. It’s easy to clean. So far I’ve only cooked steaks, chicken and hamburgers in it. Not sure it’s worth 3x the price of the Ninja. One thing that’s irritating is that some of the functions like self cleaning are only available on the app. I can’t get it to pair with my iPhone even after following all their troubleshooting suggestions. I’ve reached out to customer service. Crickets….
I have an instapot voted dual zone. Same thing as the ninja dual basket but there’s windows at the front so you can check in your food without having to open it.
There’s another they have that is a single basket with a separator that turns it into a dual basket with separate temps and stuff, idk much about how good that is but I will be looking into it if this ever dies having the convenience of both is appealing.
Though I love the one I have and would replace it In a heartbeat and can wholeheartedly endorse it. I’m intrigued by the other one I mentioned but I have no experience so cannot recommend it personally
